Core Digital Mobile Unit Enables HD and 601 Broadcasts
SWTV Production Services, the mobile unit division of Core Digital, has created the HD/601 truck, a mobile unit that can broadcast HD and 601 simultaneously or individually with one crew. The truck is on a five-city tour that will reach Chicago, New York, and Bristol, Conn., later this month.

The truck's features include:

* A Christie Digital giant DLP monitor wall that can subdivide into multiple configurations
* SSL's Axiom MT Digital Audio Suite for digital stereo or 5.1 mixes
* Ikegami 12-bit 790 HD Cameras with Fujinon 87:1 lenses
* The Ikegami Mongoose conversion system that allows HD cameras to be run with SMPTE fiber or triax cable

The truck was designed and built by SWTV and the Sony Integration Center in San Jose, Calif.
