CNN selects Sony and A.F. Associates for integration of AOL/Time Warner production facility

CNN has awarded a multi-million dollar contract to Sony Electronics, collaborating with A.F. Associates (AFA), for the development and system integration of its production studios at the AOL/Time Warner headquarters in New York. The project is expected to be completed by next fall.

The new facility is expected to raise the bar in the emerging area of all digital news production and workflow innovation.

When completed, the project will have capitalized upon key assets from both Sony and AFA.

This effort will encompass project management, engineering, off-site fabrication and installation services based out of AFA's headquarters in Northvale, N.J. and utilizing Sony facilities in Oradell, N.J. and San Jose, Calif.
