CNBC Englewood installs three Calrec digital consoles

CNBC will install three Calrec Audio Sigma 100 digital consoles as part of CNBC's new global headquarters in Englewood, New Jersey.

The Sigma 100 features two independent wild controls per channel and custom backlit, bi-color LCD displays. It has full automatic redundancy on all power supplies

The Sigma 100 has up to 64 faders and 72 channels. Its two-layer design allows for one channel path per fader or dual-path arrangement. It features two independent wild controls per channel and custom backlit, bi-color LCD displays. It has full automatic redundancy on all power supplies; audio and control system boots from cold in fewer than 20 seconds and all panels and cards may be inserted and removed under power without damage.

Other features include:

  • Mix-minus/Direct Output facility on all channels

  • Compressor and Expander/Gate on all channels

  • Four band EQ on all channels

  • Eight stereo or mono groups with Compressor and Expander/Gate

  • 24 Multitrack/IFB busses

  • 12 Auxes, configurable mono/stereo

The facility, designed and constructed for CNBC, is scheduled to go live to air in the fall. This will be NBC's first all-digital network.
