Vizrt, maker of real-time 2D and 3D graphics, and Adobe have formed a partnership that enables Adobe to license, develop and distribute Curious gFx software. Curious Software--acquired by Vizrt in June--develops retouching and rotoscoping software for film, video and broadcast.

With technology from Vizrt, Adobe will have access to Vizrt's paint engine for moving images, a roto-matte system, and a range of features for wire and rig removal or content restoration.

Bjarne Berg, CEO of Vizrt, said its flexible architecture and robust toolset will complement Adobe graphic systems.
