AZCAR designs network for EBU

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU, Geneva Switzerland) has selected AZCAR to design networked computer news editing and playout for EBU's Washington News Coordination Bureau.

The EBU represents broadcasters across Europe from the Urals to the Atlantic, encompassing 45 broadcasters in 25 countries. AZCAR built new facilities for the EBU in Washington which were completed earlier in 2002.

The EBU has also selected AZCAR to complete facilities for EBU News in Singapore using some of the same equipment and techniques used in the EBU Washington facility.

Work began in the third quarter and will be completed this year.
