ATI introduces new audio/video distribution modules

The AV8 modules are designed for applications that often require long distance cable runs of audio and video signals.

Audio Technologies (ATI) recently unveiled a new product line of CAT5/6 twisted pair transmitters and receivers for composite or S-video and stereo audio (balanced or unbalanced). The AV8 series will be the first products to be delivered in ATI’s new, compact XFORM size – a 1/8-rack width (with 1RU and 0.5RU high variations) package.

The AV8 modules are products for transmitting and receiving composite video or S-video and audio signals up to 1,000 feet over economical twisted pair UTP cable such as CAT 5/5e/6. The modules are designed for applications that often require long distance cable runs of audio and video signals.

ATI’s AV8 transceivers are designed for easy integration into new and existing AV environments, and can fit just about anywhere: in racks (up to eight in a single 1U rack), under tables and desktops, or next to a projector. The products can provide active balanced transmissions for both video and audio signals. The sharpness and gain control features enable restoration of video level and sharpness for optimal picture performance.

AV8 modules are available now.
