AIRO Automation System upgrades Illinois channel

The Digital Transaction Group just finished a major upgrade to WTVO's AIRO Automation System in Rockford, Illinois. WTVO-TV, a Young Broadcasting station, added a second channel to its existing version 9 AIRO Automation System.

The WTVO AIRO Automation upgrade included enhancements to ingest operations at the station, adding AIRO's Record Director application and Satellite Control integration with Image Communication's CompuSat System. The AIRO integrated record scheduling and satellite control. It automates the scheduling and recording for multiple recurring and one-off satellite feeds, steers the antennas, tunes the receivers, initiates the recording device and creates the AIRO data record for content management.
