Frontline Receives U.S. Dept. of Commerce Export Award

The U.S. Dept. of Commerce recently awarded its Export Achievement Certificate to Frontline Communications for outstanding work in the export marketplace.

The award was presented in a ceremony at Frontline's Clearwater, Fla. headquarters by Rep. C.W. Bill Young, (R-Fla.) who represents Florida's 10th Congressional district in Pinellas County.

"Frontline Communications is an outstanding example of what small businesses can achieve in the export marketplace," Young said. "Ninety-five percent of the world's consumers live outside of the United Sates, and this vast export market is essential to maintaining and creating high-paying jobs here in Pinellas County and across the region. Together with the U.S. Commercial Service, Frontline and its employees have demonstrated once again that the work force here in Pinellas can compete with any work force in the world."

Frontline received the award in recognition of the company's efforts to develop new markets for communication and command products in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Frontline Communications is a leading U.S. manufacturer of custom broadcast and communications vehicles, and a subsidiary of Oshkosh Truck Corp., a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of specialty fire, commercial, military and emergency trucks and truck bodies.
