Dielectric Receives ISO Certification

Transmitting antenna manufacturer Dielectric Communications, a division of SPX, announced that it had received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 certification. This is the latest update of the ISO 9000 standard that specifies requirements necessary to achieve end user satisfaction via the delivery of consistent products and services.

Companies receiving ISO certification must demonstrate that they have a set of procedures covering key business processes, monitor the effectiveness of these procedures, incorporate systems for checking products for defects, and also can facilitate corrective continual improvement and demonstrate corrective action when needed.

“The ISO certification is a real validation of our corporate strategy which creates a win-win for everyone we serve,” said Garrett VanAtta, Dielectric president. “Our customers benefit from products and services that are dependable, maintainable, and conform to their requirements, and our employees have a workplace that promotes job satisfaction, improved health and safety, and enhanced morale.”

The company reported that it was able to transition its previous ISO 9000 designation to the new ISO 9001:2008 certification by a series of audits and assessments from an independent certification organization.
