PBS Affiliate Installs Three Hitachi Cameras

KVIE-DT, the PBS affiliate in Sacramento, Calif., has equipped its main studio with three Hitachi SK-HD1000 multi-standard, multi-format studio/field cameras.

The SK-HD1000 cameras, which are equipped with Canon HD studio lenses, will be used to produce several live, local KVIE television programs. The purchase was partially funded by a Federal grant program.

KVIE serves the Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto market, which ranks 20th in television markets nationwide and third in California. Known as PBS channel 6, KVIE broadcasts to over 1.3 million households in 28 countries.
