Zaxcom announces new wireless stereo adapter
December 9, 2006
Zaxcom has announced the shipment a new stereo adaptor interface for its popular wireless recording systems. The STA100 plugs directly into the company's TRX900/TRX900AA digital wireless transmitters or ZFR100 recorder, allowing users to transform their existing single-channel system into a two-channel device, ideal for creating a sound bag-to-camera link.
The STA100 includes a dedicated time code input feature that allows users to synchronize their camera to the internal time code generator of the TRX900/TRX900AA or ZFR100. This feature also supports auto-loading of audio directly to the system's integrated memory card. The auto-load mode ensures that recorded audio exactly matches the video.
The new interface also includes a software-selectable output connector for either monitor or audio playback, or as a time code output for jamming other devices. It provides two balanced audio inputs to help eliminate the ground loop problems. The STA100 includes an external power input for connection to a 12V external power source.
