Wise Guys choose DPA headband mics

Wise Guys, a popular five-piece a cappella band based in Cologne, Germany, has changed to DPA 4088 cardioid headband mics for their live shows. Performing in venues ranging from small theaters to large outdoor festivals, the Wise Guys have honed their talent into a body of original songs that draw on a broad spectrum of genres, from jazz, reggae, rap and hip-hop through to rock and even techno, combining witty lyrics with vocals and harmonies. Their voices range from tenor to baritone, with vocal percussion being used when a pop drum sound is required.

“As we only use our voices and the mics are our only ‘instrument’, we’ve had a lot of feedback problems in the past,” said Marc Sahr of the Wise Guys, who have been singing together since they met at school. “The 4088s have sorted this. They also stay in place during our more energetic routines.”
