Walters-Storyk rocks Buenos Aires MTV

The Walters-Storyk Design Group’s (WSDG) Latin American office is reporting that the company has been awarded the acoustic consultants contract for a major new MTV production facility. The assignment will encompass the internal acoustics of the critical listening environments, overall acoustics for the general office spaces and conference rooms and isolation specs for the facility. The facility will include two TV studios, a master control room, 11 video edit suites and an audio post suite.

Sergio Molho, founding partner of the WSDG Latin American office, will supervise all technical aspects of the assignment, while company project manager Mariana Varon will coordinate the day-to-day activities. Gabe Hauser of the WSDG office in Basel, Switzerland, performed all acoustic calculations related to the STC and RT60 performance of the spaces.

Construction of the facility is slated for completion in December 2008.
