SSL shows XLogic, Mixpander at WNAMM

Building upon the success of its XLogic range of analog rack processors, Solid State Logic exhibited the new XLogic Alpha Channel along with a companion product, the Mixpander, a 64-channel PCI audio interface. The combination is intended to let users configure their ideal I/O combinations for PC DAW platforms.

The XLogic Alpha Channel is a classic analog channel strip with a combination of mic preamp, filter, EQ and limiting designed to provide the perfect front end to a digital audio workstation.

Designed to work with the Alpha-Link product range, the Mixpander audio interface offers low latency audio monitoring with plug-in processing. Each Mixpander PCI card provides 64 input/output channels, and allows up to four cards to be used in a single PC. The 64 Mixpander channels are freely assignable to any available I/O connection.

Each Mixpander PCI card is loaded with DSP to drive processing plug-ins and comes with an Audio Toolbox plug-in pack that includes four-band parametric EQ, filter, dynamics, chorus/flange, MS decoder and dither. It can be used with special release versions of a wide range of popular plug-ins.

The SSL XLogic Alpha Channel is currently shipping, while the Mixpander is expected to ship this month.
