SoundTech announces LightSnake USB microphone cable

oundTech Professional Audio has announced the release of the LightSnake, an intelligent XLR-to-USB cable with embedded analog-to-digital converter and signal booster. The cable ends of the LightSnake feature SoundTech's patented "Live when Lit" technology that glows and flashes to indicate when sound is being transmitted.

The LightSnake USB intelligent microphone cable connects with any standard dynamic XLR microphone and plugs directly into the PC USB port, dramatically reducing the cost and clutter traditionally associated with digital recording. The cable itself is 10ft and fully shielded, and offers plug-and-play connectivity that is compliant up to USB 2.0 operation.

Podcasters will be among the chief beneficiaries of LightSnake. The LightSnake's ease of use and compatibility with professional-quality XLR microphones is ideal for recording high-quality digital audio in any location.
