PBS installs Euphonix onboard new production truck

When not on location the new production truck at KCET-TV is used as a second control room and is connected to the station by fiber optic lines.

In addition to the Euphonix 5-BP mixer, the truck is equipped with two Euphonix FiberTran MADI extenders capable of 48 microphone lines, with mic splitters on FiberTran stage boxes that facilitate connection to the remote Euphonix mic preamps inside the station.

The System 5’s large number of inputs and channels are an advantage in a live or on-air environment. The advanced version, System 5-BP, has dynamic automation and can support more than 300 channels for applications where the console needs to handle both live and audio post situations.
