Neumann bringing KMS 104 condenser to AES

Neumann is introducing the Neumann KMS 104 handheld microphone to the U.S. market at AES in October. Already offered in Europe, the KMS 104 features all the same features of the popular KMS 105 live vocal mic, but uses a cardioid polar pattern.

The KMS 104 offers superior resolution of the voice, with extended frequency response and accurate transient detail while virtually eliminating sibilance problems common to other handheld condenser mics. The mic delivers an "open" and detailed presence, with controlled, accurate bass response. The frequency response and built-in high-pass filters have been optimized for the close miking vocal techniques favored by many artists, compensating for the proximity effect for smooth, even sound reproduction.
