Mono Music Studios installs an SSL Duality 96

Mono Music Studios, owned by legendary composer/producer Benny Andersson, has installed a Solid State Logic Duality 96-channel large-format production console. Mono Music is integral to both the Swedish music scene and the more recent phenomenon of recording international stars like Britney Spears, Celine Dion and others.

Mono Music studio manager Bernard Lohr notes that the studio has a history of using SSL consoles that stretches back to 1996. He notes that the SSL Duality was an ideal choice for the facility, which now maintains the classic analogue sound of SSL consoles and enjoys full integration with the latest digital audio workstations (DAWs). Recently, Lohr has been working on several ABBA-related projects, including remastering in 5.1 surround. Projects like this demanded an expansion of capabilities, and the surround panning on the Duality, combined with the desk's classic sound quality and DAW compatibility, made the decision an easy one.
