LasVegasProAudio unveils small surround mic

The new ST350 surround sound mic can be powered by A/C or batteries.
LasVegasProAudio, the direct sell division of TransAudio Group, is now shipping the ST350 microphone system. The system features SoundField's unique 5.1 surround technology.

The ST350 is a lightweight multi-capsule mic with a compact mic-pre and control unit. It generates surround and stereo simultaneously with balanced line levels with hi-pass filtering, switchable M/S output and headphone monitoring. The system also features variable pattern control and stereo X/Y Angle (width) controls.

SoundField microphones simultaneously capture width, height and depth sound information at a central point. The range of microphones are based on a patented capsule tetrahedral array and a control unit incorporating advanced electronic circuitry. The processors create four audio channels called "B Format" which can be manipulated further to create mixes mono, M/S, stereo and surround.
