XM on FM Mods, RIAA Lawsuit: We’re Working on It
In releasing financial results this week, XM executives said they’re in almost daily contact with the FCC over the FM-modulated products that exceed emission limits.
XM’s technical team is working on design and/or installation modifications. There have been some shortages of the involved products at retail and the company wants to ensure there’s enough product for the fourth-quarter selling season once manufacturers can resume production, company executives said.
Regarding the RIAA lawsuit involving the Pioneer XM Inno, Chairman Gary Parsons said arbitration is likely by the end of the year.
