WMFE Upgrades with SeaChange
Orlando-based PBS member station WMFE is upgrading its on-air and production operations to digital with SeaChange gear.
The SeaChange Broadcast MediaCluster play-to-air server system with six HD channels will air WMFE's daily broadcast schedule. A Broadcast MediaLibrary will provide centralized, format-independent storage for on-air BMC, non-linear editors and VTR's and ingest, production, recording and playback tools, providing around 1,350 hours of storage for programs, movies and clips. It provides access to over 24 TB of media.
