WISC-TV Installs Omneon Spectrum
WISC-TV has purchased the Omneon Spectrum media server for its network operations center.

The center handles playout for WISC channel 3, digital channel WISC-DT and UPN affiliate UPN14.

The Omneon system will perform playout form the station in Madison, Wisc., working with the Sundance Digital Titan automation system. For ingest, the station will use a Telestream system.

"Besides the systems modularity, the key feature that attracted us to the Omneon Spectrum system was its ability to accommodate SD and HD material within the same platform," said Leonard Charles, director of engineering at WISC-TV.
