Vyvx Provides "Clean Feed" For NFL
Tulsa, OK--Vyvx is to provide the National Football League with transmission of the "clean feed" for NFL games. The NFL will utilize the Vyvx VenueNet service to transmit non-branded, or "clean," video feeds of the events from locations around the country to NFL Films in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Additionally, Vyvx will deliver local and national preseason game coverage to NFL Network for live and tape-delayed broadcasts.
The transmission of the clean feeds will enable the NFL to edit content of NFL games for a number of different applications, which include VOD and PVR highlights to its cable and satellite partners.
"Vyvx is a leader in this space and we are pleased to engage their services to transmit NFL game content," said Peter Brickman, senior director of broadcast operations and technology for the NFL.
Derek Smith, vice president of Vyvx, said this new deal reinforces the long-standing relationship between Vyvx and the NFL.
"We've been working with the NFL now for 15 years, providing them with a vast array of dedicated and occasional fiber services for live and non-live video transport. They continue to trust Vyvx with their mission-critical content, which speaks volumes about our dedication to providing the highest quality service with industry-leading customer care."
