ViewCast is now shipping its new control software for automating encoding.

Niagara SchedulStream is designed for scheduling and managing Windows Media and RealNetworks RealVideo encoding sessions. The Niagara SCX software upgrade offers an encoder management interface for the Niagara streaming systems. With SchedulStream, users can archive digital content more simply and store content locally and through a network.

"Scheduling and remote management of the encoding operation streamlines workflow and increases video-capture productivity," said George Platt, president and CEO of the Dallas-based company.

Coordination of encoders for training sessions, remote scheduling of room encoding and scheduling batch encoding for broadband are some of the applications for Niagara SCX with SchedulStream.

The two new ViewCast applications are compatible with Harris/Louth media management and automation systems.
