Video One Selects Nvision 3Gig HD Router
Video One, a Burbank, Calif.-based provider of HD/SD broadcast and production trucks, has purchased Nvision’s 3 Gbps-enabled NV8288 Digital Video Router, NV7512 AES Router, Synapse terminal equipment and a variety of control panels for its new 36-foot, double-expanding trailer.

The truck is outfitted for feeding footage to live telecasts or taping a project for follow-on post production. Video One has done work for such programs as American Idol, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, NBC’s “Singing Bee, Barbara Walters Specials and more.

“We see the need for fully equipped, smaller production trucks in the mid-market space,” said Bob Kaufman, CEO of Video One. “Nvision’s NV8288 fits the need because it’s half the size, weight, and power consumption of other routers on the market, but packs a punch with high reliability and HD/SD high performance. Its 3-Gig capability is a bonus because it meets our high bandwidth needs for the future.”

The Synapse modules also provide up-, down- and cross-conversion.
