Venevision, one of Venezuela's largest television networks, has invested in Chyron's HD/SD-switchable HyperX² and Lyric PRO systems in its news, variety and mobile studios.

The deployment will provide Venevision access to a range of HD graphics options including scores, templates, chronometers and statistics.

Eduardo Ortega, studio manager for engineering and operations at Venevision, said: "Venevision has maintained a close relationship with Chyron for more than 20 years and their character generators have always been highly reliable and efficient. We recently decided to take a look at the renewal of our graphics platform and after seeing a demonstration of the outstanding features of Chyron's HyperX² we decided to purchase systems for installation in our news and variety studios, plus another for one of our mobile units."
