Utah Scientific to Unveil New Router Frames, Control Panels
Utah Scientific will highlight additions to its UTAH-400 family of digital routing switchers at NAB2007. The new products include a new frame for large routers up to 288x288 with fully automatic internal crosspoint redundancy, a new frame for small routers up to 32x32, and a new set of multirate input/output modules that are capable of handling data rates from 1 Mbps to 3 Gbps.
The new UTAH-400/288R frame offers the option of a redundant crosspoint module for reliability. It combines with the Utah Scientific SC-4 control system's monitoring and control facilities for the most demanding applications.
The UTAH-400/32 frame offers full compatibility with all UTAH-400 I/O boards, with redundant power, control, and crosspoint modules in 2 RU.
Utah Scientific will also show its new multirate cards, for facilities that need a routing switcher fully compatible with 1080p--which will require a full 3 Gbps--as well as 1080i and 720p signal formats. The new cards are available for all UTAH-400 routers, in both new and existing installations.
Utah Scientific will also unveil two new control panels: the UCP-1, a full-featured X-Y panel in a compact 1 RU package; and the UCP-DT, a desktop version of the UCP-MM multimode panel introduced last year.
Utah Scientific will be in booth N4321.
