Updated iHeartRadio App Now Ready for iPhone, iPod, Blackberry

Clear Channel Radio has updated its iheartradio mobile application.

Version 2.3 is available now for iPhone/iPod Touch and BlackBerry smart phones. Clear Channel says an Android version will be released soon.

The broadcaster has also introduced a commercial-free version of the app with a subscription for those who want to hear personalities like Sean Hannity, Dr. Laura, Jim Rome and Bob & Tom.

Users can use the iheartradio mobile app to stream the talk shows, download podcasts and listen to on-demand traffic reports and program archives.

Clear Channel says iheartradio recently surpassed 7 million unique downloads and use continues to increase. Mobile listening supplements computer streaming and adds more than 10 percent to a station's total streaming audience, which itself adds up to 15 percent to terrestrial listening, notes the broadcaster.
