Univision and DirecTV Sign Retrans Pact

(March 3, 2009) NEW YORK: Spanish-language net Univision said today it signed a multi-year retransmission agreement with satellite TV provider DirecTV. The agreement includes carriage of Univision’s 64 owned and/or operated TV stations, distribution of its cable network, Galavision, and feeds for the Univision and TeleFuture networks.

The agreement also includes carriage of Univision-affiliated stations owned and operated by Entravision, Equity Media and Fisher. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
