Triveni Announces PSIP Partnerships
Triveni Digital, a subsidiary of LG Electronics, has announced two collaborations with major automation providers to help broadcasters meet FCC rules requiring PSIP to accurately reflect program information by May 30.

Triveni said it has developed an interface with Harris Corp. that enables a seamless exchange of data between the Triveni Digital GuideBuilder PSIP generation system and the Harris H-Class ADC-1000 play-out automation system.

The new interface leverages the ATSC PMCP protocol to allow ADC-1000 users to maintain PSIP schedules that reflect reality, including automated generation and delivery of last-minute changes. Triveni said the solution supports compliance with the recent FCC order addressing PSIP data and

"Through our work with Harris, we have created a smooth flow of data by which the automation system can perform last-minute updates to the PSIP schedule," said Dr. Richard Chernock, chief technology officer at Triveni Digital. "Through this communication, the GuideBuilder continues to offer our shared clients the functionality required for high-quality content delivery in compliance with FCC orders."

Harris had previously told the FCC equipment was unavailable to meet the May 28 deadline.

Triveni also said it had developed of an interface enabling a seamless exchange of data between the GuideBuilder Florical Systems' AirGuide interface.

"Our products always have been designed to help broadcasters meet the demands of an evolving industry," said Chernock. "With the Florical automation interface now available as an option, the GuideBuilder continues to offer our shared clients the functionality required for high-quality content delivery in compliance with FCC mandates."
