TransMedia Releases Media Collaboration Tools
TransMedia debuted its Online Mobile Suite 2004, a set of online video and audio tools for streaming media and collaboration that facilitates the distribution of multimedia. It requires no software installation, and is essentially an online extension of a user's hard drive and desktop interface that enables communication among media-intensive organizations.
New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies and Logical Net, an Internet service provider, are the first two customers for the universal browser-based online platform. The company hopes the Online Mobile Suite will be a helpful resource for all media-based companies, including radio stations, broadcasting and cable companies, and entertainment and telecommunications firms.
Donald Leka, chairman and chief executive officer of TransMedia, said, "Our solution democratizes online multimedia."
