Time Warner Cable Taps nCUBE to Deliver VOD in Seven Additional Markets
Time Warner Cable plans to deploy nCUBE Corp.'s video-on-demand systems to seven more TWC markets in the United States. The deployment follows TWC's first VOD launch using the nCUBE platform in Los Angeles late last year.
nCUBE provides VOD systems that can handle the largest and most advanced VOD projects. The company's n4 Streaming Media Appliance enables cable system operators to provide subscribers a range of on-demand television and movie options, including VOD and network personal video recording cost-effectively. The systems' hypercube interconnect architecture offers an approach that can be scaled from one server to hundreds without requiring content replication. The nABLE Interactive Management Platform is a real-time, back-office on-demand business management system. nABLE manages stream control, bandwidth allocation, asset management and content distribution.
