Telestream Expands Media Access
Telestream now integrates with more Microsoft and Mac OS products, and the company introduced some of these at IBC2004 in Amsterdam.
Among the announcements was that Telestream MAP now works with Mircrosoft's SharePoint, a tool that allows users to access and format digital media files to share across networks.
Mac users can now use Windows Media 9 to create files in SD and HD using Windows Media in either stereo or 5.1. The Telestream technology for Windows Media supports QuickTime-based programs such as Final Cut Pro and others.
Also offering Mac support are the Telestream MAPone and HyperMAP, the media delivery protocol. MAPone allows users to transmit digital dailies and news cuts right after they are created.
Telestream also recently released MAP 1.2, which now supports Harris automation as-run log ingest.
