Telestream Announces Pipeline Upgrade
Telestream has recently released an enhanced version of its Pipeline network video capture system software. Pipeline Version 2 adds such features as log and capture, direct control of tape recording, EDL batch importation and manual, as well as scheduled, recording operations.

“This release evens the playing field for Pipeline in both PC and Mac environments,” said Barbara DeHart, Telestream’s vice president of marketing. “Our Pipeline encoders have changed the game in video capture by providing industry-first network-based ingest from tape or live sources into file-based workflows. With powerful encoding to multiple HD and SD formats, plus support for edit while ingest and transcode during capture, Pipeline offers unparalleled speed, scalability and flexibility.”

The Version 2 release is also described as making the makes the application faster, more robust and easier to use in Avid environments, as it provides direct support for MXF in both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Version 2 is available as a free software upgrade for existing Pipeline users.
