Tandberg to Introduce Cross-Platform Content Creations and Distribution Solutions
Tandberg Television, part of the Ericsson Group, will demonstrate its new end-to-end system for Mobile TV, the new mPlexTM media processing platform, which offers constant and variable bitrate (CBR & VBR) MPEG-4 AVC encoding, native IP processing and flexible architectures for VBR control and mobile-specific scrambling.
The iPlex UltraCompression video processing platform for HD and SD IPTV features next-generation MPEG-4 AVC SD and HD encoding based on Tandberg’s Intelligent Compression Engine (ICE3). The iPlex IPTV headend solution includes MPEG-2 SD encoding, MPEG-4 AVC HD and SD encoding, MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 AVC HD and SD transcoding, MPEG-2 transrating, and picture-in-picture (PIP) service generation.
The EdgeQAM enables a clear migration to IP through support of the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 and the M-CMTS standards.
The new WatchPoint Workflow System can provides a scalable, automated solution to streamline the creation, management and distribution of linear and on-demand media assets in an extensible, open architecture environment. WatchPoint supports interactive advertising.
Tandberg’s latest on-demand solutions include OpenStream, a complete and open digital services platform that enables operators to quickly and confidently offer on-demand services such as video-on-demand and network PVR.
