Sundance, Telemetrics Partner for NewsLink Camera Control
Sundance Digital, in partnership with Telemetrics Inc., is making automated newsroom camera control available as part of its NewsLink v2.0 rundown-centric system for streamlining on-air news operations. The companies incorporated a control protocol into NewsLink v2.0 that transparently wraps cameras and other production devices along with traditional digital media sources into the rundown-driven MOS workstream.
NewsLink ties newsroom computers with broadcast server/editors and supplies functionality for digital news workflow. v2.0 will debut at NAB2004, with features including management of cameras, audio consoles and video switchers added to the existing lineup of server, editor and graphics system controls to facilitate automation of the live newscast. Additionally, a manual rundown manager is available for facilities without a MOS-compliant newsroom computer system, or to serve as a "life boat" in the event of an NRCS crash.
