Steele Buys Second Quantel eQ
Steele, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based post production facility, has installed another
Quantel eQ editing/effects/grading deliverables system, including the Qcolor in-context grading option. Features include a mesh warper, motion blue, a graphics tool to modify keyframes across frames, a universal keyer, layer blend modes and more.
Jerry Steele, owner and lead creative person for the facility, says the eQ versatility to handle the myriad video formats a factor in the purchase. "Most of our work at present is commercials and music videos and while the majority of it is still SD, every job has at least one HD element so eQ's resolution co-existence is vital," he said.
