Stay Alert With Digital Alert Systems

Digital Alert Systems offers the DASDEC CAP-compatible EAS system.

With more than 1,000 systems installed, the DASDEC is a Linux-based, browser-operated, FCC-certified EAS encoder/decoder. The system includes three receivers, each tunable through a Web browser. The system supports up to five collocated stations with a single box.

With “CentralCasting,” multiple systems can be combined in a hub-and-spoke arrangement to drive multiple satellite stations. Through a combination of software and hardware, the DASDEC should meet most stations' EAS needs as the industry migrates towards use of the Common Alert Protocol, the company says.
