SSL Premieres New Version of Gravity at IBC
Solid State Logic (SSL) gave an exclusive demonstration of their new Gravity asset browser web client at IBC 2009.

The company’s browser runs in cooperation with Microsoft’s Silverlight media engine. The combined effect gives users an efficient tool to access media through major Web browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Silverlight 3 can playback streaming video at multiple bit rates in varying levels of quality up to and including HD. Gravity includes a filter that supports live event broadcasting to Silverlight, supports markers, subclips and metadata and is customizable via XML.

All Gravity Web components were developed using ASP.NET and support third-party customizations.
