Harman Pro North America named Shane Morris as principal engineer for Soundcraft and Studer’s digital console offerings.

He will provide technical sales, engineering and support for sound reinforcement customers using Soundcraft Vi Series and Studer Vista Series consoles, and be a resource for those brands’ broadcast clients.

A native of Australia, he moved to the U.K. in 1978, worked for Soundcraft in London as international service manager, and later relocated to Los Angeles to accept the role of technical manager for Soundcraft USA during its early ‘80s years in Santa Monica.

He has worked with Apogee Digital Electronics, Fairlight, Audio Analysts and ATI; he was most recently a U.S. technical sales and support engineer for DiGiCo.

The announcement was by Nick Owen, HPNA vice president of sales.
