Sonic Solutions says its Sonic MyDVD title publishing application is now integrated with CustomFlix, a new on-demand digital video publishing platform.

Sonic has added a "Publish Your DVD" feature to Version 4 of MyDVD. By clicking on the button, content producers can send their DVD masters to CustomFlix, which will handle production and merchandising.

CustomFlix, a new startup from the team that developed Discreet's Media Cleaner Pro creates DVD titles for anyone wishing to market their legacy video. For a set-up fee, producers submit the video material they wish to sell (either as a videotape or DVD master), and CustomFlix converts the content into a high-quality DVD with custom menus and up to 18 user-defined chapters at specified time codes. The service, designed for short to medium production runs ranging from tens to thousands of copies also offers a personalized e-store with a 60-second streaming trailer, sales transactions, on-demand duplication, customized packaging and shipping.
