SMPTE NY to Hold Editing Showcase
The New York Section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) will hold its second annual Editing Showcase on June 1.
Industry leading manufacturers will demo their products between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Hilton New York in Manhattan.
Also, during the event attendees can go to user group meetings with Apple, Avid and others and panel discussions to "geek out" about the latest editing tools.
Technology guru Mark Schubin will be on hand to lead such discussions.
John Ferder, chair of the
SMPTE New York Section said that this event is great for area professionals who might have missed NAB to check out the new versions of audio/video editing systems.
In the evening, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. there will be networking time for professionals to "meet and greet," trade business cards and attend an enhanced series of panel discussions.
