SMPTE Names Kimberly Maki Executive Director
The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) said this week the organization has hired Kimberly Maki to serve as its new executive director. Maki will join SMPTE Oct. 16.

Maki comes to SMPTE from the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, where she served as vice president of marketing, membership and business development. Since joining SCTE in 2003, Maki's responsibilities increasingly grew to also encompass membership services, new business development, industry relations and sponsorships. Prior to SCTE, Maki served as vice president of public affairs for one of Time Warner Cable's division in Houston, Texas.
