More and more, media is heading around the home and around the world to a multitude of devices in a pile of formats.

Looking toward that wide-open future, Blake Krikorian, co-founder and CEO of Sling Media Inc., will deliver the keynote address for the "Portable! Digital Media Content Anywhere Anytime" Super Session Monday, April 16, at NAB2007.

Krikorian has made major contributions to the promise of portability. As head of Sling Media, he helped produce Slingbox, a product that provides "anytime-anywhere" access to video sources located in the home. The product is creating a new "placeshifting" market in portable media devices, with new challenges for content providers, carriers and manufacturers.

Krikorian began his career at General Magic before co-founding the Philips Mobile Computing Group. There, as a group product manager, he led the team that created and marketed the prized Velo 1 Windows CE Handheld PC. After Philips, Krikorian served as senior vice president at Metis Associates, where he created the company Mainbrace Corp.

The NAB Super Session will include a six-person panel discussion moderated by Brian Cooley, editor of CNET, offering content providers, distributors and consumer electronics experts a chance to discuss what consumers want from portable media devices, and the opportunities and challenges the world of portability will bring.
