Sky News Purchases Ikegami Editcam Digital Camcorders
Sky News, a U.K.-based satellite news service, has purchased an Ikegami Editcam 3 digital camcorder for its bureau in Delhi, India. The Editcam 3 is Ikegami's latest generation of its hard disk-based camcorder, which permits editing without waiting for ingest.

The Ikegami DNS-33W camcorder has been improved from previous versions with reduced power consumption, an increased S/N ratio of 65 dB and the removable hard drive storage module now has a capacity of 80 GB. The new camcorder also supports Ikegami's Rampak solid-state flash memory.
