SBC Communications and 2Wire are joining together to offer a combined TV services for SBC | Dish Network and SBC Yahoo! DSL customers. The new service will be available by the middle of 2005, according to SBC.

The bundled content will feature broadband and satellite in a single package. Viewers will have access to Yahoo! photos and music on demand through a new set-top box and also remote access to content. Subscribers will get a satellite TV receiver, DVR and storage for digital content.

"The SBC home entertainment service will bring together many of the features that consumers want most, including TV programming, video on demand and Internet content and services," said Ed Cholerton, CEO, SBC Media Solutions and VP of SBC DSL.
