Satellite Radio Receivers to Hit 1 Million
Satellite radio receiver uptake is expected to hit the 1 million mark about 1 year after Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio begin their service. The Yankee Group believes consumers will adopt the product, bypassing stigmas associated with monthly fees because satellite radio will offer national coverage, digital sound quality and content variety. Receivers are expected to be in the market in volume this summer.
