Robert Sharpe Acquires Digieffects Plug-In Business
Robert Sharpe, digital media industry veteran, is acquiring Digieffects, a developer of software plug-ins for Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects. The acquisition is effective immediately, with Sharpe taking over management responsibilities, according to a press release issued by the company. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

Digieffects has been a player in the software plug-in industry for more than 10 years and is known for its CineLook and Delirium products, among others. Sharpe was formerly associated with Canopus and Terran Interactive.

As part of the acquisition, Toolfarm Inc., a distributor of video plug-ins has been appointed the exclusive distribution source for all Digieffects products.

In a project expected to last several months, Digieffects will work with users to update products and put together a long-term product "roadmap." A Web forum has been set up for users to air their ideas and opinions about Digieffects products.
