RF Technologies Corporation Introduces New Channel Combiner
RF Technologies Corporation introduced a medium power UHF channel combiner that uses a new approach to transverse electromagnetic mode (TEM) filtering developed in RF Technologies industrial microwave products sector. Features of the 6-pole filter include less than 15 ns of differential group delay across a 6 MHz channel, less than 0.05 dB response variation across a 6 MHz channel, insertion loss of less than 0.2 dB and power handling up to 5 kW average per channel. The filter is compact -- six inches high, under 4 feet long and weighing less than 100 pounds. Isolation is specified at 40 dB for input channels spaced at least 6 channels apart, although channels can be spaced closer with reduced isolation.

Information on the combiner had not been posted on the RF Technologies Web site when this was written, but the company said the product is now shipping and would be on display at NAB.
