Industries that are targeted by the show include broadcast, law enforcement, military, homeland security, education, religious and non-profits and federal, state and local governments. NewBay Media is the parent company of Radio World.

This year's show "is shaping up to be our most important to date," stated Carmel King, executive vice president of NewBay Media's Video Broadcast Division. She said organizers anticipate approximately 150 exhibitors including Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon, Apple and Avid.

Conference programs include a DigitalMediaDC Conference, with certification workshops in Apple Final Cut Pro and Apple Color; Avid Editing Workshop; a High-Definition Technology Crash Course; Motion Graphics and Visual FX; and Podcasting, Flash Video and New Media.

GV Expo also is offering several free programs including screening award-winning projects from the 48 Hour Film Project and DC Shorts Festival.
